John T. Stephenson, Ph.D., ABPdN
Biography: Dr. Stephenson has a private practice specializing in the assessment of children. Also, he provides assessments for several agencies, including the Regional Centers and Counseling4Kids, serving foster children. Common referral sources are pediatricians, psychiatrists, neurologists, therapists, and local school districts. Dr. Stephenson also conducts disability determination assessments and Workers' Compensation evaluations. Examples of referral issues include learning disorders, ADHD, seizure disorders, autism spectrum disorders, brain injuries, and psychiatric issues. Dr. Stephenson has lectured to the National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE) and to local schools on the topics of disabilities in children and ADHD. Dr. Stephenson is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) and the American Psychological Association (APA). |
