Biography:

  • Dr. Mucci is currently on medical staff at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, California. She is the coordinator of the Neuropsychology Program at CHOC and is the clinical liaison to the Neuroscience Institute. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she supervises the neuropsychology practicum track and oversees neuropsychology training for the interns and post-doctoral fellows.

  • Dr. Mucci has been in private practice since 1997 and maintains offices in both Orange and Newport Beach, CA, providing neuropsychological assessment, treatment and consultation of the cognitive and behavioral effects of neurologic disorders, including seizure disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD, traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, epilepsy, non-epileptic seizures, behavioral and emotional disorders.

  • Dr. Mucci completed her Doctoral degree in 1995 in Clinical Psychology from Alliant University after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Long Beach and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton.  She completed an APA-Accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship at CHOC Children’s Hospital, and additional post-doctoral training at the Neurobehavioral Clinic and Counseling Center in Lake Forest. Dr. Mucci is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, the California Psychological Association and is a past-President of the Orange County Psychological Association. 

  • Dr. Mucci’s presentations include topics on Neuropsychological Correlates of Epilepsy, Non-Epileptic Seizures, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, Neurocognitive Late Effects and School Reintegration of Children with Leukemia and Brain Tumors, and Raising an Imperfect Child in a Perfect World.
